Welcome To Unbelievable Vietnam
Vietnam is becoming a popular destination for travel. People have put Vietnam on their itinerary for two main reasons: Vietnam travel is a great deal for budget-conscious visitors, and great hosts welcome them when they arrive in Vietnam.
If you’re shopping, airfares are bargains. You can be from the west coast of the United States in less than 19 hours in Ho Chi Minh City (known as Saigon to the Vietnamese in the south) and this requires a 1 1⁄2-hour layover.
It’s cheap domestic travel! An open bus tour ticket from Saigon to Hanoi costs less than $30.00 and you can see some of the greatest scenery you can imagine. Wouldn’t you take the bus? There are comfortable trains and fast aircraft. Around $100.00 is a two-hour flight from Saigon to Hanoi.
Cheap and welcoming tourist hotels. The staff are courteous and supportive. With a reservation, you can fly from town to town and always find suitable accommodation.
The scenery is beautiful-misty mountains to lush green rice paddies on sunny beaches, as mentioned earlier. There are five UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including Halong Bay. Bring two cameras-you’re only going to wear one.
I’ve saved the best last time. The cuisine is amazing. Most restaurants are still getting fresh from the local market for their daily rates. Great meals are made from fresh herbs, spices, vegetables and local meat. Seafood and chicken dishes, together with pork and beef dishes, are specialities. At the same time, Vietnamese food is light and sweet. For the Western palate, Oriental and some French influence create the right mixture.
Don’t hesitate to put your travel plans to Vietnam. You’re not going to be sorry. And you’re not going to forget that.
