Where do you get the energy for running from?

Those are the questions that are being asked all the time.

There is no simple answer.

I run because I like it:).

I like the feeling of taking control of my laziness

This is how I feel like a winner

It doesn’t matter how fast or how long my run was, what matters is I managed to go out. Any run is better than no run and it always makes me proud.

  • Achievements,
  • virtual challenges,
  • medals
  • sense of fulfilment

This helps me when I struggle with motivation.

Have you ever heard about endorphins?

When you exercise, your body releases chemicals called endorphins. These endorphins interact with the receptors in your brain that reduce your perception of painEndorphins also trigger a positive feeling in the body, similar to that of morphine

It’s a hormone of happiness which brings euphoria and general well-being.

Exercise has multiple physical health benefits. It can also have a positive impact on emotional well-being.

If you’ve heard of a “runner’s high,” you might already know about the link between exercise and endorphin release.

But exercise doesn’t just work on endorphins. Regular physical activity can also increase your dopamine and serotonin levels, making it a great option to boost your happy hormones.

That’s why, even if you are saying you hate running after 1st km when you finish your run, endorphins make their job and with all excitement and joy you can’t wait for the next run.

As a  mom of three, it’s almost impossible to enjoy time by myself – one hour of complete silence? No way haha!

I really love my family but I also cherish being on my own.

I like running solo, with no music, contemplating, being alone with my thoughts.

All the big things before the run, all the worries all the struggles seem to disappear.

Running helps to clear my mind.
The paradox of running/exercising?

How can you run having kids, where do you get the energy?

Believe me, exercising/running/fresh air gives power and energy.

Try a morning run and you will be surprised how your energy levels go up.

What I like the most?

  • When I run I feel like in a different/better world.
  • You meet such amazing people,
  • strangers are saying good morning to you
  • Other runners are sending you a big smile.

When I hear: “super mom” when running with my boy in a pushchair, it’s such a positive kick – I love it – it keeps me going!
I talked about endorphins, better mood, clearing mind, all those factors having an impact on mental health.

Yes, running helps to leave everything behind I started to run in January 2020.

Think, how would you like to welcome New Year 2021?

With A Run??
