What is yoga, then?
Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that focuses on energy, flexibility and respiration to promote physical and mental health. The main components of yoga are postures and breathing (a sequence of movements designed to increase strength and flexibility).
The practice originated in India some 5,000 years ago and has been adapted in a variety of ways in other countries. Yoga has become popular in recreation centres, health clubs, colleges, clinics and surgeries.
What are the benefits of yoga for your health?
The yoga has been documented in hundreds of clinical trials of varying quality.
While there is room for more comprehensive health benefits research, most studies suggest that yoga is a safe and effective way to increase physical activity, especially strength, flexibility and balance.
Being a mum comes with a lot of demanding responsibilities. The list is inexhaustible and only a few will be able to deal fully with all the circumstances. The question many ask is why moms get so stressed?
Some of the reasons why moms are stressed narrow down to the fact that they have a lot of responsibilities and expectations placed on them and that they carry that with them wherever they are going.
Some of the assumptions are about how they’re going to handle things as mothers, who their children are going to be, how their husbands are supposed to be and he turns out not to be, how the house should be and then it’s not. So you see, there is a lot for moms to deal with.
Mum’s focus is so split. The baby is crying at one point, the children have started fighting and she has to split and listen to their grievances, then in another minute, she has some discord with her husband or maybe neighbours.
This is how it looks like a typical mom’s day. With all this happening this is why it is a good idea to practise yoga.
To detach herself from all the drama it will create a natural escape route for her. It’ll also give her the spirit to deal with all the troubles.
They should also ask themselves some questions, to really know when they peak their stress level.
That is very important to know. Is it getting out of the door during the feeding time, school preparation, and why? Ask those questions to yourself.
You should try to slow it down from this point, simplify it and just come up with some nice solutions. For example, keeping your kids in paper bags with some snacks. You can carry them in.
When they start to have children, it is important for moms to focus on things that are important to them. The truth is, at this point, life is different and you can no longer engage in the things you use to do before.
Yoga helps you slow down a little bit. Because moms always want to do it all the same, even if they know they can’t handle it. Yoga tells you that you have a list of things that you should put down in wanting to see and experience as a mother.
Things like how your motherhood will look, how happy you are with your spouse and your children.
What kind of life you want to have your children and what kind of friends you want to keep. Remember you can’t be friends with everybody.
Now that you’re married, things have changed, and you have more responsibilities to take care of. Some of those places that you use to go to visit with your friends, you will no longer be able to go there.
